Southern Brothers Preparing for New Studio Release

Current Single Continues to Dominate Southern Gospel Radio
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Popular sibling trio the Southern Brothers are currently reviewing songs and preparing to record their new project and follow-up to their comeback recording Influenced.
Scott Mills of the Southern Brothers said, “Anyone who has done a high end recording knows that this kind of thing takes time and a lot of preparation. We are excited about getting in the studio and making new music. The songs we have already picked up and started working on are classic Southern Brothers. We can’t wait for people to hear this new music.”
Three songs in particular have stood out to the group – including one from Scott’s own pen – “Southern Born & Heaven Bound.”
“We have another song called ‘Down to the River.’ The song talks of working a down-on-the-farm job and getting cleansed in a river and how that so often reminds us of being washed in the River of Life.”
The song is also excited about the prospects of a song called “Run to Win.”
More information on the new album will be released at a later date. Until then, the group has been dominating Southern Gospel radio with their current single “God Knows” from their critically acclaimed release Influenced.
“God Knows” has become the group’s first Top 10 hit off of their Influenced recording. The song will rise from #21 to #10 in the upcoming April 2009 issue of Christian Voice Magazine’s Top 100 Southern Gospel chart.
In addition, the song has been a fixture in the Top 20 of both the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart (currently sitting at #15) and GospelMusicTimes.com Top 40 Fan Chart. The song has also spent four months on the Singing News Top 80 chart.

“God Knows” is the third song from the group’s critically acclaimed release, Influenced to chart nationally. The song is being pushed to radio by Theresa Dillard’s TS Promotions. The single can be found on SCM Disc Volume 8, Cut #1.
